No. They don't call it the World-Wide Web for nothing. You may work toward completion of your traffic school anywhere you have Internet access.
No. Traffic school is a sentencing option, so you must have permission of the court. Not all courts allow traffic violators to attend online courses
for traffic school.
You must be 18 years of age or older to enroll in an online traffic school. If you are a minor, and have been sentenced to traffic school, check with
your court to find out what kind of traffic schools are approved for you.
At court you may be offered the option of going to traffic school to mask your ticket. If so, there are some stipulations that may need to be met.
Generally, for example, you may take our online violator course if you have not completed one in the last 18 months. Some courts may not allow you to
use an online option. Check with your court to be sure.
Normally, the answer is no, but you may petition the court to attend a traffic violator school and then see if they will grant you that request.
You will receive paperwork from the court identifying approved online traffic schools. If we are on that page, we are absolutely approved by that
court. If we are not listed, you may still ask the court if it would be willing to allow you to take this course. More and more, courts are approving
online traffic schools.
If your court does not appear on our list, then this course is not currently approved by that court. You may still ask your court to allow you to take
traffic school online.
Not without approval by your court. You may ask the judge for permission to use our course.
No. Individuals convicted of a DUI are specifically sentenced to drinking driver schools. SkilledDriver is not a drinking driver school.
You may take this course on any computer that has Internet access. Our service will be able to tell where you are in the curriculum and you can pick up
where you last left off.
No. SkilledDriver is an Internet-based program of study. You are free, however, to print out curriculum chapters if you would prefer to read them offline.
No. All you need is an Internet-capable computer. All reading and quizzes can be completed online.
General Information About the Course
While some people read and retain information faster than others, the course is designed to take 8 hours.
The SkilledDriver course fulfills 8 hours of traffic school.
Yes. SkilledDriver is absolutely committed to your security. The site is protected by 128-bit strong encryption to secure any transmission of your
personal information from any interception. This is the strongest level of encryption in the world.
No. Payment for this course only occurs on our website.
The costs for the SkilledDriver course depend, in part, on the court that sentenced you. Some courts do not require proctoring, so the cost of the course
is $21.95. Other courts require that your exam be proctored in other words, that you take your exam at a predetermined location, not at your home
computer, so that your identity can be verified. While SkilledDriver does not charge for this service, a nominal fee will be charged by the proctoring
location. This fee rarely exceeds $7-$10, but to be sure, call the proctoring location and ask for the cost of computer time by the hour. Finally, some
courts require that the testing be conducted by third-party testing agencies. These agencies charge fees for processing your test and handling your
certificate of completion. If you are sentenced by a court that requires third-party testing, the total cost of your SkilledDriver course will go up by
only $5.
No. You may complete all the chapters, including all the quizes, before you are required to pay for the course to take the Final Exam.
No, you can either pay by credit card or by PayPal.
We offer all of our customers the chance to "test-drive" our site for free by allowing you to complete all the chapters and its quizzes. After you pay,
you can then take the final exam to complete this course. If you are not satisfied at any point, requests for a refund should be addressed to
support@halfdayexpresstrafficschool.com
This is not required as our registration records are regularly purged. If you do not pay, your records will be purged after your court expiration date.
You will need your citation number and your driver's license. Even if you think you know the information on your driver's license, have it handy so
that you can enter the information accurately. This is important, as that information will be used for security questions, and may be used by a third
party if your final exam must be proctored.
Yes. SkilledDriver is offered on-line, in Spanish.
You may take the online course at your own pace. You can do it all in one sitting (we would recommend a cushion) or you may start and stop as you like.
If your pace is slow, however, we ask that you pay close attention to the time remaining before your court-mandated completion date. Be sure to finish
in plenty of time.
To make sure that the person reading the curriculum is the person taking the quiz, reading questions are inserted. You may be asked things like, "What
is the author's favorite ice cream?" Because somewhere in that chapter, you were told what it was. You may not skip through the chapters based on your
knowledge of the vehicle code and driver handbook.
When you successfully complete all of the chapter and section quizzes, a screen will appear asking if you would like to take the final exam. If you
feel ready, press yes and take the exam.
Yes, you may repeat the course until you pass all the way up until the expiration date for completion of your traffic school as set by the court.

If you successfully finish your final exam today before 3 PM (PST) and have selected the Next Day Air option for mailing your certificate, and then are
willing to get it to court, then you may manage to finish in time. However, we do not recommend that you wait this long to finish. Provide a 4-5 day
minimum cushion to give you time to complete the entire process. Additionally, if you are unable to complete by the deadline, you may go to the court
and ask for an extension (which may or may not be granted). Some courts allow the postmark to count for the due date, and others grant a grace period.
Do not assume this is the case, however. Check with your particular court.
You should go to the court and request an extension. Be prepared to set a firm date for completion. The court may or may not grant your request.

In some Internet Explorer browsers, a bug exists that causes this error. It is not unique to the SkilledDriver site, this error will occur on some
other sites as well. The good news is that there is an easy fix for this problem. Microsoft has created a fix that will correct the error and repair
your browser. All you have to do is click on this link:

Your Certificate of Completion is an official document from SkilledDriver that tells the court that you have successfully completed the traffic violator
school and passed the final exam. All courts require this document in order to mask your traffic violation on your record.
No, you are not allowed to print out your own certificate. All certificates of completion must be created by the traffic school or an approved third
party, and each must have specific information about the client, along with a signature from the school.
No. The certificate must be the original, and must be mailed to you.
Some courts require the certificate to go directly to the court. In that case, we will send it. Otherwise it will be mailed to you and you are
responsible for seeing that it gets to the appropriate court officer by the deadline stated by the court.
For all final exams completed by 3 PM (PST), certificates will be mailed that day. All exams completed after 3 PM (PST) will be sent out the next
business day. How soon you get your certificate depends upon where you live and the type of mailing you requested.
Yes, for an additional fee.
